How to become a prayer intercessor: beginner's guide
What an intercessor actually does
An intercessor reads a request, prays in their tradition (or the one requested), and sends a brief message: who they are, where they pray from, and what they say. They are not therapist or doctor. Their work is spiritual accompaniment within clear limits.
Inner disposition
Pray only when you can be present, without rush. If a request triggers you emotionally, pause. If you see abuse or risk, use platform reporting instead of trying to “fix” with prayer alone.
Time and realistic consistency
Start with a few requests per week. Quality matters more than volume. Many intercessors spend about fifteen minutes per request between reading, prayer, and writing the reply.
